Our Commitment
Keeping Athletes Safe
USA Swimming's and PASA's top priority continues to be keeping athletes safe. Safe Sport is USA Swimming's comprehensive abuse prevention program, and it gives swim clubs the tools to educate their members and intervene in risky situations.
Screened Coaches
Every PASA coach maintains current USA Swimming membership, background screening, and Safe Sport training.
Clear Policies
Our club follows USA Swimming's Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy at every site, practice, and meet.
Speak Up
Athletes and families are encouraged to raise any concern to a site director or directly to USA Swimming.
Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Program
MAAPP is the enhancement imposed by the U.S. Center for SafeSport. The policy addresses risk areas that present opportunities for abuse to occur, and it covers five areas:

- 2Travel: Local & Team
- 3Social Media & Electronic Communication
- 4Locker Rooms & Changing Areas
- 5Massages & Rubdowns
MAAPP applies to all adults who interact with and have direct and frequent contact with minor athletes, including adult athletes. The policy calls them Applicable Adults, and every Applicable Adult is required to follow MAAPP.

Reporting
Reporting a Safe Sport Concern
Anyone with a concern about athlete safety should report it immediately. Reports may be made anonymously, and retaliation is prohibited.
